Equine Ailments - A to Z
Head Shaker - a horse that shakes its head when ridden. Shaking is usually persistent; it may be mild or excessive. The cause may be nerve pain, and is often exacerbated by well known irritants such as pollen or dust. Full or partial facial nets are useful in many cases; drugs or surgery may help in others. Head shaking may also be caused by other physical problems, such as uncomfortable teeth or ears. |
