Pleven
Of fairly recent origin developed at the state owned Dimitov near Pleven, Bulgaria. It
contains local cross-bred blood, Russian Anglo Arab, Arab and Hungarian Arab
blood of the Gidran type. Thoroughbred has also been introduced to the breed.
It is chestnut in colour and makes a good all round horse with a kind
temperament, a bold good jump, though a spirited ride. It is usually about
15.2h.h.
