Charollais Half-Bred

As the name suggests this is a cross breed developed from crossing
Thoroughbred and Anglo Norman horses. Originally bred as a cavalry mount, it
is now used for sporting activities in particular for hunting. The two other
similar types used in France for crossing with thoroughbred are the
Bourbannais and the Nivernais. Collectively these breeds are known as the
Demi-Sang Charollais.
The Charollais stands between 15 and 16.2 h.h. It is known for being hardy
and sound with a sensible and willing temperament. It may be any solid
colour.
