Cob Normand




The French breed Cob Normand was created at the beginning of the 20th century at the stud farms of St Lô and Pine. Created for two uses, firstly to become a saddle horse for the army, and secondly for the drawing of personal and public hackney carriages.

The lightest of the French draught horses it stands between 16.0hh to 16.3hh (162cm to 170cm) weighing between 500kg and 800kg. It's paces are flexible, light and elegant for a horse of this size. The allowed dresses are the bay, brown bay, chestnut, aubere, gray and roan.
