Beberbeck

This German breed takes its name from The Beberbeck Stud where it was bred from the 18th
century until 1930, when the stud closed.
It is still bred today though in reduced numbers. Local mares were crossed with Arabs and thoroughbreds to
produce this cavalry type horse that resembles a heavier version of the
thoroughbred. It stands between 16h to 16.2h and is either chestnut or bay in colour.
