Salerno

Bred in the Maremma and Salerno region of Italy, it is a quality saddle
horse, based on Neapolitan and Andalusian blood. It was first produced in
the early eighteenth century and was once the favourite mount for the
Italian cavalery.
Standing at about 16h.h. the Salerno may be any solid colour. It has good
conformation, with free movement and an ability to jump. These qualities,
along with its intelligence, for it has a sensible calm temperament, make it
an excellent all-round riding horse.
